About the Department
The Department of Philosophy offers major and non-major courses under the CBCS/NEP curriculum of Dibrugarh University. The department emphasises classroom rigour, seminar presentations, field engagement and continuous internal evaluation.
HOD's Message
Our teachers work closely with a student body drawn largely from first-generation learners of the coalfield belt. In Philosophy, we aim to build a foundation strong enough for postgraduate study and competitive examinations alike.
Courses
Three-year and four-year undergraduate programmes with major, minor, skill-enhancement and value-added courses, along with certificate courses conducted by the department.
Research
Faculty-led minor projects, student dissertations and collaborative work with the college Research Cell and IQAC.
